Hello, I have many issues regarding this mews site after a good friend of mine referenced this site in a discussion after he misinterpreted a post.

My first was with the misleading article done by Terence Jeffrey.

The article states the case that more Americans consider themselves conservative then Liberal. While true, that's not where my problem stands. What I take issue with is how the piece portrays the study. Reading the information it presents, one would surely have to think "Well if there are more conservatives then liberals, there must be more republicans then democrats." Which is just untrue. Registered democrats reach over 75 million making them the biggest part in the United States, while only approximately 35% consider themselves a democrat. Having all this information, one would fully understand why there can be more self identified conservatives and yet the democrats still won several recent elections. I mean, if there are as many republicans as the Mr. Jeffrey implies, why doesn't the republican party succeed in basically every nationwide election? This is assuming conservatives vote republican and liberals vote democrat of course, which also, is not the case and the author didn't even bother mentioning this fact to put it into perspective.

The following information is from the source of the study.
"While Americans' party identification and political ideology are related, they are by no means one and the same. For instance, while residents of Alabama and Mississippi are the most likely to be conservative ideologically, they are not the most Republican in their party affiliation. According to Gallup's report on party identification by state earlier this month, that distinction goes to Utah, whose net conservative score is only slightly higher than that of South Dakota (a Democratic-leaning state).

In fact, while all 50 states are, to some degree, more conservative than liberal (with the conservative advantage ranging from 1 to 34 points), Gallup's 2009 party ID results indicate that Democrats have significant party ID advantages in 30 states and Republicans in only 4.

Bottom Line

Despite the Democratic Party's political strength -- seen in its majority representation in Congress and in state houses across the country -- more Americans consider themselves conservative than liberal. While Gallup polling has found this to be true at the national level over many years, and spanning recent Republican as well as Democratic presidential administrations, the present analysis confirms that the pattern also largely holds at the state level. Conservatives outnumber liberals by statistically significant margins in 47 of the 50 states, with the two groups statistically tied in Hawaii, Vermont, and Massachusetts.

When considered with party identification, these ideology findings highlight the role that political moderates currently play in joining with liberals to give the Democratic Party its numerical advantage."

After reading the entire poll, I don't see how a news website could leave out information this critical other then to mislead it's readers.

Another thing I found very offensive were the vulgar, hateful, and outright racist comments made by the readers. I know CNSNews isn't responsible for it's readers actions or comments, but some of these remarks are something I wouldn't expect from a news site, at all.

As a student and independent voter, even I am hard-pressed to be not insulted by these. I'd expect a moderator to keep out such 'spam' comments that do nothing to further the discussion, as anything less lowers the standard.

So that's that, my third and final issue was found in the 'About Us' section of CNSNews.com

The parent organization of this site, is a right-wing site that did the studys mentioned in your 'About Us'. As they clearly demonstrate in their about me section.

Which brings me to why I choose to write to you with these questions. As journalists, it is your duty to do exactly what you and your parent site say. To get the real facts and story, not to be like any liberal bias media there may be out there, to be above bias and sinisterism. So why are there obvious hypocritical statements being openly made at both websites? Your readers trust your word as journalists and reporters, which makes this all the more troublesome.

A long rant I made, because I had the time.

UHC systems are cheaper than the American system. And they get better results.

How is it paid for?

Take whatever money people pay towards health insurance and use it(flat tax for everyone) to cover everyone. Simple eh? Take away the profit margin and boom, there should be enough for everyone and some left over. Everyone wins, except those insurance agents. Or as I call them, people who would raise the price of water in a drought.
Canadians say their healthcare isn’t amazing, but they’d still prefer their system over ours easily.

Our debt has been rising and it does so easily through wasted funds. There is no one answer, we waste money on worthless programs, the military industrial complex, most recently bailing out whoever bribes us, and even healthcare.
If we had a single-payer system, no one would pay for insurance, it would be paid through taxes. Every American’s taxes would increase, but it’s worth it since every American wouldn’t have to pay health coverage. It would cut costs by more then half easily. There is no excuse for our country spending as much as we do for healthcare and yet no getting much for it. Have you seen how low we rank on the World Health Organization’s (best of) healthcare list? I’ll give you a hint, Cyprus is above us.
I don’t watch ‘mainstream media’, I could care less about T.V. in general. But it’s not hard to know Limbaugh or Beck are helping the volatile situation with their insane conspiracy theories or backward ass partisanship.

Medicare is socialism, Medicaid is socialism, our fire departments, police departments, and schools are socialism, even our military is socialism. Socialism is providing by a whole, aka to everyone. We’ve been living this way for years now. No government can be sustainable if it is too socialist or too capitalist, it needs to have common ground and influence from both.
Insurance companies make insane profits, our government subsidizes the insurance industry time and time again and obviously it’s never reported in the media. We pay for Iraq’s and Afghanistan’s universal healthcare, while millions of American’s don’t see a dime of that. National socialism is not socialism, it’s fascism. Communism is not socialism, it’s government controlled capital.

We don’t have best healthcare in the world, we do have exceptional and amazing healthcare, but that’s because 20% of America doesn’t have access to it. I’d also like to make the point that, arguing that you (not literally you) don’t want medicare for all because you might have to wait longer for an appointment is the most selfish fucking argument imaginable, it’s disgusting. Sorry I’m not a part of ya’lls special clubhouse.
Every resource is rationed, we ration healthcare now, the only difference is the insurance companies ration it by deciding if they can legally get away from covering you if you ever need your coverage. We don’t have countless doctors.

I grew up in Vermont under Howard Dean’s socialistic Dr.Dynosaur, a program that cut the number of VT’s uninsured children by more then half. A phenomenal success that still runs today, and no, I was not on welfare.

The more blurry the argument becomes, the more insurance companies lie to the American people, the more spineless politicians line their pockets with fraudulent tax payed cash, the less chance a real debate can be held. One with actual facts and reason. Not scare tactic, death panel, keep hands off my healthcare, slogan bullshit and straight up lies.

Universal Healthcare? In My America!?

Answer,
Though the opponents like to ignore this fact, you are already paying for it, and you are paying top dollar for it.

Let me explain for the people who like to ignore facts. If you have insurance, you're paying for other people's health care. This is because you pay insurance premiums. Now, your job may include this as a benefit to you where they give you some health insurance supposedly at cost to them, but really they aren't giving you anything. They include that in your salary and pay you less money.

If you pay for your own medical care without insurance or government help you are still paying for other people because you pay without discount. This means that the people who are on insurance or government plans are actually charged less because discounts are given to insurance companies and the government while you pay larger costs to make profit for the hospital.

Finally, if you are on some government assistance program the thought is that someday you will pay taxes and may have in your life if you are elderly, to cover this.

So, the reality is that if you are paying for health insurance or out of your own profit for medical care you could potentially pay less if the system was not going to be corrupted for subsidized profit. So, in fact where otherwise you would have no control, at least with UHC you could vote against the corrupt government officials who would use tax money to give overinflated profits to pharmaceuticals, and get people who would cap medical costs and use your money wisely. In the end if done properly it would actually cost you less because you would not have the expense of a monthly insurance payment which is far more than you would pay in taxes for the plan. If you are paying out of pocket you would surely be paying less for coverage over time.

Now, the only real question is, 'can it be done properly?' As it is, you are already being raped by private insurance and the overinflated health care system.

Patriotism VS Nationalism

Patriotism;-noun

"Love for or devotion to one's country."

Nationalism;-noun

"Loyalty and devotion to a nation; especially; a sense of national consciousness exalting one nation above all others and placing primary emphasis on promotion of its culture and interests as opposed to those of other nations or supranational groups."

So, nationalism and patriotism, if you don't know the difference then read above because its very important.

Patriotism can be a great motivator to help and contribute to your country, join the military, be happy about paying taxes, community service perhaps. Patriotism should make you happy about where you were born. It enables you to say "I was born in this country, and I'm proud of that."
It should never provoke anger from you, you should never become angry that it was your country. For example, if a terrorist attack kills 50 people in your country, I don't believe it should upset you more so than if the terrorists killed 50 citizens of another country. I see peoples lives equally regardless of ethnicity, nationality, or cultural differences, and I believe Nationalism deters that.

Nationalism is when you believe your country is above other countries. Not that one country can't be more efficient, safer, or less corrupt than another, but you can't believe your country is naturally better. Just an example I can take off the top of my head, radically religious nationalists state that the U.S. is above other nations simply because God blesses it in some way, as if God is watching over our country and holding our hand, while letting the rest of the world do whatever the fuck it wants to. Anyone with a rational mind would question this, as they should. Nationalists can become a real life problem though, they ignore their countries problems because they don't believe it has any, or possibly could have any. Do you know what happens if you ignore a problem? It usually never gets solved (if it doesn't get bigger). So I'll wrap this up...

Do you believe nationalists are a real threat to a country's well-being? What countries do you think have die hard nationalists? How bad is the US compared to others? Do you like your country? Do you love your country? If yes, how much? Would you die for it? Do you even agree with my point of view? If not, state your own and discuss.

Personally I don't consider myself patriotic. I'm glad I was born in a modern country where I don't have to struggle to survive. I don't have to join a militia or street gang like Somalia or other southern African countries. I don't see me being born in the USA anything more than luck really, I'm certainly not proud of my luck, I don't see any reason to be. I also don't hate my country, so please don't imply otherwise. Ive never done anything purely 'for my country' and I doubt I ever will.

So NK launched a missile, that was supposedly carrying a satellite to put into orbit. Sad thing is...the missile didn't even make it into orbit. Oh North Korea, I try to be afraid of you, I really do, but its getting so hard these days. You have an asshole dictator who looks like a grandmother, your propaganda is on par with Nazi Germany, your communist...

Kim Jong Il isn't crazy by the way, just kinda an asshole and stupid. Very arrogant and full of himself it appears (if hes even still alive that is).

So they shoot a missile, some people think it was a test for future nuclear weapons or ballistic missiles. Some people also believe think Adam Lambert is attractive. Those people apparently are ok with skin worst than an 70 year old Floridian. I digress, Russia and China say "chill the fuck out" or something like that once the U.S., SK, and Japan all freak out about it. That quote may be a little out of context or something so don't cite me.

A number of people think it'd be a dandy idea to take Kim Jong Il out of power by force. Now there's multiple reasons this idea fails.

2.China
3.Russia

China will not tolerate an attack on North Korea, they made this clear multiple times, Russia has not but it has told the rest of the world to fuck off their business. If the U.S. wages war with NK it also goes against China and Russia. Good fucking luck starting World War 3.

Moving on...

Gay marriage in now legal in Connecticut, Massachusetts, Vermont, and Iowa.

Vermont recently passed it becoming the first state to do so by a legislative vote. The three other states had courts decide gay marriage is unconstitutional, which ironically enough, it is. So is the Defense of Marriage act which Obama has promised to repeal because it pisses on the constitution and the founding fathers graves. Its a bill that says no state must recognize same sex marriage despite whatever the federal government says.

Let me express my deep hatred for cynicism, nihilism, and negativity. I fucking hate them all, there, that's me expressing myself.

I mildly agree with him, but that hardly means hes 100% correct. Besides, if the penalty for being logical and sane is having Smith's smug and pretentious fucking attitude then I rather be as ignorant as I please. I'll fit in with new England's elitist fine thank you very much.

A.I.G. is too big to fall, sucks to hear but deal with it. If AIG falls then so do hundreds if not thousands of smaller businesses that use AIG. Admittedly, I'm not the most natural economist so I tend to avoid these kinds of issues, but just as the most ignorant American, I like to give my opinion regardless of my expertise. I strongly prefer social issues as I have a better grasp on them. Gun control, same sex marriage, welfare, immigration, these my philosophy's can handle and allow me to take a firm stance on. Economics are vastly complex and mentally stimulating. A bit too much sometimes, which makes me feel stupid, as I'm sure it does most people. Not to sound full of myself.

One thing that bothers me to no end is when people who don't understand shit about politics argue stupidly, for instance they'll use arguments like "McCain was a POW, he actually cares about veterans"

No actually that implementation doesn't work like that you retarded fuck. Here's the thing about that, McCain favors conservative principles, conservative principles do not support welfare type programs and government spending. Who happens to benefit from government welfare and spending? Veterans! Obama is the opposite, he supports programs that help veterans.

Abstract Titles From All Around

I'm arguing with myself if I should use titles that are actually relevant to the content in my posts. Let me know your opinion.

So theres a new study out about video games, conducted by the BYU which stands for the Brigham Young University. Its a Mormon college in Utah, Mormons in Utah!? Yeah I was as shocked as you.

The study details went as followed...

"Participants included 813 undergraduate students (500 young women, 313 young men, M age = 20...) who were mainly European American (79%), unmarried (100%) and living outside their parents’ home (90%)."

The BYU concluded that...

*The more the students play video games, the worse their relationships are with friends and parents (although this effect is modest)

*Those who play video games daily smoke pot twice as much as other players and three times more than those who never play

*Young women who play often have lower self-esteem

In related News, I have concluded that BYU university has a stoner problem and needs to figure out why its female students have such low self esteem. But to be honest Id smoke too if I lived in fucking Utah and went to BYU. If I was a Mormon girl expected to marry and have 10+ children Id also have low self esteem, I don't blame these people at all. I think the study is completely accurate at a second glance.

The study was (as read above) done with a pool of 813 of BYU's students in Utah. Thats a poor representation of the entire gaming community aswell.

Not too mention the NPD released their own study in 2008 that found that over 60% of the entire U.S. population play video games regularly.
20,000 were surveyed in that study. A much larger pool than the BYU's lonely 813 of their own students.

Its so hard to pick apart every flaw this BYU study has, It would take so long. Its a pool of only their own students, which are mainly Mormons. The people pooled were a median age of 20. It was taken in only one state with a tiny amount of people.

Its just a bad study with messed up results. Have you ever been in school doing a report, then when you show it to your teacher he/she immediately points out that your conclusion can't be right then quickly figures out why you messed up and corrects it?

As I mentioned before, I'm pale, Edward is pale, and pale is 'in' now.
So its 'fashionable', In a way.
I'm not usually one to be fashionable, but if girls are going to all a sudden decide that paleness is more attractive than a tan, then I'm not going to complain.
Its better than guys scurrying to get their fake-bitch-tans after all.
(Fake tanning is for bitches)

Styles are fads and styles change over time.
Paleness will be gone seemingly overnight but I'll enjoy it while it lasts.
I ask all my pale brethren to do the same, for after the mainstream fashion leaves us we'll all be 'just pale'.

I know I'm not going to change my looks unless I want to.
If theirs one thing I absolutely hate, its peer pressure of any kind and that's all styles and fads really are,

The Bane Of Perception (Pt. 1)

Twilight is a highly successful Gothic-romance series that has recently been made into a movie, so this can only mean one thing.

...I have something to say about it of course!

So moving on,
I have three main things I want to cover in this little post of mine,

1.How much I believe perception and perspective has to do with affection, understanding, and impressions. Their 'link' and how they affect each other.

2.The Rise and Fall of modern humanities 'fads'.

3.Similarities.

Lets get started on the first post,
One of the main protagonists in the story is Edward Cullen, he is a vampire but more importantly, pale, and girls love him.
This is good news for your humbler writer, for reasons I shouldn't even need to address but for any strangers reading my blog let me explain as clearly and detailed as I can.

...I'm pale.

ok, I think that suffices as a good explanation. Now that everyone's on the same page, lets continue.

So this blog entry's purpose is to pick apart the main reason why 'I' believe girls love him, and (like most of my blogs) has a deeper meaning than just that subject.

I think girls will become affectionate for any guy regardless of looks if presented a certain way, a 'romantic' way in most cases.
For example, there's nothing remarkable about the actor Robert Pattinson's looks.

I mean just look at the guy...

Pretty smokin' right? Yea I didn't think so, I'm not gay but I think I know when a guy is average or ugly as all hell.

Hes not freakish but I don't believe hes insanely handsome either, otherwise why weren't fan girls going nuts over him when he was in Harry Potter? Because he wasn't shown in a romantic hero-like light like he was in Twilight.

I showed you the worst of someone, here's their best...

Match that face/makeup with his constant saving-of-girls and depression/problems (girls dig dudes with issues) and you got yourself a 'chick-magnetic'.

You'd be amazed how a single perspective can make someone change.
Case-in-Point, most anyone can be 'beautiful' if given the chance. So don't assume things too early and please keep an open mind.

Its been too long since I wrote something decent, I either ramble borderline coherently or coherently ramble about borderlines.
That didn't make sense because I didn't want it to (nor could I if I tried), my current and recent writing style reflects my mood and thought process, ...in shambles.

I don't know if its a -good- 'in shambles', but it's definitely different. A different thought process...almost...

Well the holidays are almost here, but for once in my life I don't think there's anything I really 'want'. There's some basic stuff I 'need', socks, pants, new shoes, and other miscellaneous things. But nothing like my past urges, no super sweet Halo Xbox pack, no special album, no PS3, in other words my little red bike or BB gun are not under my tree this year. Does that mean this year is going to be a dud? No I don't think so, My mom is really excited about buying people things including things for me and my brother. Although there things I don't necessarily -want-, I'm still grateful and I'm sure I'll use them. Did I lose my boyish joy? That feeling of happiness and excitement when you get what you begged your parents for? I am old enough to lose it, but is it ok to lose it? Is this a good thing? Is growing up and getting older code for realizing life is dull and dead? I hope your not as cynical as I have been, thanks for reading.

Keasby Nights is a re-made album from well-known New Jersey band Streetlight Manifesto, It was originally released way back in 98' by Catch 22 but that's a long (and interesting) story. Let me start off by saying that this album features 14 tracks of the best skank worthy songs you'll probably ever hear from a third-wave ska band. 'Keasby Nights' hits the ground running with fast paced up-tempo songs that rarely gives you time to rest. Almost every song on this album features a fitting intro then ends with a grand epic ending leaving you feel nothing short of complete. Between Thatcher's upbeat rapid drumming, Kalnoky's meaningful and deep vocals, and the entire brass sections complex but amazing fills, Streetlight prove they're just a pure orchestra of awesome.

There are a few songs that break up the action such as 'Kristina She Doesn't Know I exist' and 'As The Footsteps Die Out Forever'
but only because there slower and a bit on the sad side. Still better than average songs in my opinion though. The album's lyrics primarily focus on emotional burdens such as death, inadequacy, and overall low self-esteem while promoting a positive and optimistic outlook. This album is uplifting while disusing depressing topics, something I don't see that often. Keasby Nights has been called a 'defining album' in the third-wave ska world and for good reason. I can't think of a better way to spend $13 bucks than to purchase a copy of this. If your a fan of newer ska, older ska, or even music in general, this album is a must try.

So, I'm not sure how to start this so I'll just jump right into it.

Look how sleepy I am! Sleepy yet still cheerful and upbeat!

I woke up at 5PM yesterday, I know that's not a good time to wake up. So my sleeping routine is a bit off course I'll admit, but I have a plan.

I'm going to stay up all today and then let myself sleep at around 10PM tonight.
Pretty righteous plan huh? Yea I know it is, Thats why I thought it up,
Envy me scrub!

Me and my brother thought this plan up at around 4AM last night,...er morning?
He didn't last long, no willpower.
That just leaves me and my tough-as-steel determination. Ive taken the necessary measures to prepare myself don't you worry...

I have ice coffee, 4 games I have yet to beat, and I'm really cold. And its damn near impossible to sleep when your cold.
I usually don't drink coffee cuz it hurts my stomach and makes my breath smell like shit but thats what toothpaste and mouthwash is for!

Besides, I have big gobble gobble plans tomorow for thanksgiving which is especially ironic cuz I'm a vegetarian. Speaking of turkeys did anyone see that Palin video with the turkeys in the background? That's fucked up, seriously. You don't do an interview with some dude beheading poor turkeys in the background, its bad for your political career.
The fucking turkeys are kicking there little legs and Palin is like "oh I didn't know Africa is a continent ya betcha", God I hate her.

Anyway, getting back on topic I'm going to my mom's boyfriends mothers house tomorow and spending the night for thanksgiving, Anyone who knows me knows I don't do well with people in social settings so we'll see how that goes. Hopefully my upcoming 14 hour power nap will do me some good and prepare me for my pathetically stressful future.

There's gonna be butt-loads of people I don't know so yippy for me, I'm sure your guys's lives are 20X more stressful but I'm tired so give me a break.

"Would you ever consider adoption?"

I was reading one of many survey bulletins on myspace when I stumbled upon someones answer to that question.
They Answered simply "no", It made me go into deep thought for awhile. I was trying to figure out why they would answer "no".

Don't assume I believe the right answer is 'yes', I'm just thinking why they picked 'no'.
Maybe they want kids of their 'own'? (Whatever that's suppose to mean). That seems plausible I guess. Most people want kids, especially blood related kids.

Excuse me if I'm out of line but doesn't that seem a little selfish? I mean...you would never consider option? That's what the question is after all, it asked would you ever 'consider' adoption. It didn't ask "would you ever adopt?"
It seems really selfish to bring another child into the world when there's so many children waiting for a loving home. Especially people who have hereditary issues and/or problems that they'd pass on to their offspring.

Your not gonna adopt a healthy child because you wanna have a child with AIDs? Or a child with many other problems? Excuse me but your future retard baby is not wanted when there's others who need a place to live. I mean its not like abortion, the child you want isn't even a life yet. I just don't know peoples problem with adoption. Maybe when your older, like 25-35, you have an urge to have a kid and that's what happens to people, Ive heard about that a few times and it worries me a bit to be honest.

Well if you did assume when I told you not to, the right answer is 'yes' I believe.
Personally, I don't ever want kids, for personal reasons I don't feel like discussing. I'm not against getting married or anything like that, but I'm very open to adoption and along with my personal anti-offspring reasons, Adoption seems like the clear choice if I ever want kids. If I do have children when I'm older I hope I go that route.

I never did ask them why they choose that answer...

It just seems odd to not even consider it, that's what I think anyway. There's a lot of potential for discussion on this subject and Id love to hear others opinions.

President Elect Is A New Word To Me

Barack Obama is the 4.....44th President? I don't know, I didn't pay attention in social studies or whatever that class was...teacher just yelled at me, um but anyway! Obama is the new president!

This is a mildly good thing, I like Obama much more than Kerry, Gore, Bush, and McCain. So its like a choice between getting shot in the head (Kerry), getting controlled by a fascist (Gore, and yes hes a god damn fascist, Lieberman is a dick too, God I hate them both). Watching our country die slowly (Bush). Getting Buttfucked while not being able to do anything (McCain). Or finally, trying something else and taking a gamble (Barack). I really hope Obama is as good as Clinton if not better. I don't really support Obama but I have hope because hes so new and unpredictable, I'm very eager to see what he does.

The 90s were good times for the U.S in my eyes, Especially if you compare that to Bush's 8 year term. Obama has already picked a few people for his cabinet and even a few former Clinton people. High hopes indeed, I also didn't realize how much the world watches us, countries were partying like crazy when Obama won, I was impressed.

Obama is against nuclear energy (as am I), hes pro-choice (I'm moderate but leaning liberal), hes pro-gay marriage and basic rights (as am I), he doesn't own 8 houses, and knows Africa is a continent. Did I just hear a Boosh? Yes I think I did...

I'm The Not The Only One Who's Not Afraid Of You

It's been some time since I wrote an entry, I think the last one was about music or something.
I enjoy writing blogs for multiple reasons, one of them is to forget what I wright so I can re-read them at a later time and agree with myself, it makes me feel good. I'm like "Woah, I totally agree. I'm liking this Jay guy, hes got a good head on his shoulders".

This entry really doesn't have a main point...I'm just kinda writing as it comes.

So I got my music bloggy thingy up and its kinda decent in my opinion, its hard since there's so much artists I need to put up. Its really complicated to just get the basics up.
Basics are bands I listen to regularly or have in the past.
I want/plan to put up much more genres that I don't listen to, I want to appeal to everyone's musical tastes. So if you got some favorite bands you want me to put up, let me know Id be happy to hear and post.

This blog is about the Punk Culture or even the 'anti-culture' in general.

I like music...a lot, specifically Punk music. Which is a very wide reaching umbrella with many many categories that fit under that term 'Punk'.

I love *breaths in* Acoustic, Folk, Anarchistic, Political, Hardcore, Ska, Fusion, Crossover, Progressive, Speed, Punk music *phew*. I enjoy my bands and I love finding new ones.
You can argue with the labels I used but you don't know my music taste that well so Shut the fuck up before you argue with me, about me, you ignorant douche.

Jay enjoys a bunch of different bands is what I'm trying to say. It's hard to label original bands since.....well their original and new *duh*. The music they create has never, or rarely, been done before so there's not really an appropriate label to assign them.

(Getting back on topic)
Under this umbrella I enjoy (Like I said) Political Punk Bands, but one thing I ALWAYS notice, something that way too many bands do, something that plagues bands I would otherwise I enjoy, something that gives me a biased first impression, something that right-away turns me away from a band, is when I see cliches...

Cliches such as but not limited to oppressiveness, conformity, youth,
the U.S.A. sucking, alcohol, and more not currently in my mind.

I don't know what alternative topics would be but, I know what needs to stop,
Regurgitation needs to stop.

The US government makes you mad...I know...Shut up about it already you whiny bitch.
The only thing I hate more than the government is people who preach about hating the government, (well that, and conspiracy theorists but that's for another time).

Ive been to too many shows featuring bands I completely forgot about the second their set was finished not because their shitty, average music (I shouldn't be one to talk) but because their freakish unoriginality. Song after song about how life sucks, how the government rapes us teens, how the government rapes the world, how Bush blows, and more blah blah blah. I want a band not to talk about a different subject, but a band that will speak about a subject with a new approach, show the same old in a new light, a band that will refresh this outdated status quo of yesterday.

It's one of the main reasons Dead Kennedy's are my favorite band of all time. Jello's lyrics showed the government sucked but it implemented satire and comedy, something by even today's standards, is lacking in music. I'm not saying I want a DK wannabe band, or a satirical band. No, I want a band to put something in their music that hasn't been done or rarely been done before. I don't know specifically so I can't give you an example unfortunately. If I knew what I am looking for I would've already done it myself.

Punk is only still alive because of its ability to alter itself. Punk evolves, or at least I believe it does but if your one of those assholes who bitches that minor threat is the only real punk and whatever else 'classic punk' is the real, only punk, then you can go fuck yourself.

Yeah I feel really bad for McCain...kinda...

I mean he has dignity, hes a decent person. Its just his attack ads are so freakin' misleading its insane. Its pure propaganda at this point. That video is a perfect example of what happens when you do something that 'false'. McCain's ads want you to connect the dots they put out there. They say Obama sympathizes with terrorist, they say Obama might be foreign. They never outright say it but they push you and put it in your head. Obviously there are some ignorant people out there who end up believing this. I mean that video proves it without a doubt.
This is the same tactic Bush used to win both his terms. He said Gore sucked and Kerry was french.

Republicans first rule...
Never talk about yourself or your own candidate or party. Only talk negatively of your opponent, because if people realize you really do suck ass, well at least you'll look better than the democrats.

As probably everyone knows, the economy is dying...like really fucking dying.
Like a 72 year old skin cancer survivor/war survivor who's old ways are struggling to stay afloat. Their failing miserably by the way in case you had any doubt about it.

I'm comparing the 2008 Republican nominee to the current economical situation in the USA for various reasons.

1.I think its funny (I'm cynical like that).

2.Their are many similarities, so much opportunity. I wish I was clever enough and creative enough to wright a blog showing off this topics full potential, But I'll do my best.

I mean McCain is old, and so is the capitalist system we use here.
Their both struggling and in bad shape, ok so McCain isn't in HORRIBLE health but you have to admit hes been through ALOT regardless. I'm not happy about this, I'm no fan of Republicans in general but I never wish harm upon people,...haha well maybe a few people *stares seriously* (you know who you are).

Their mainly both entities from yesteryear, living in a world long past for most of us up to date, Us 'hipsters'.
McCain doesn't even use a computer let alone know about most 'modern' technology.
He reminds me of my grandfather who freaked out when he learned my video games can talk.

I'm no 'expert' on economics or the stock market but I 'hear' from 'experts' that I'm basically fucked...or something, I don't really know. I'm hardly coherent when watching the news, I try to watch it every now and then to know some basics of whats going on. It's just hard to take it seriously sometimes, I mean NFL players being traded is 'breaking news'? I didn't think a news station could get away with that. I'm getting sidetracked, so much commentary about the world to discuss but I need to stay on track.

Most people seem to believe the USA is in need of 'change'. Do you know where I'm going with this?...

At first I didn't like Barack Obama, but then I got more involved in politics and read up on his stances on the issues, policies, and ideas. I got to say very honestly that me, being insanely liberal, I love them. Good healthcare plan, good college payment plans, good housing plans, and I could go on and on and on.
The only things I don't like is hes neutral on gay marriage and I'm conservative on gun policy.

I know Obama is only the Democratic nominee because of the desperate time were living in. Things are very bad, People want radical change, a new start to bring things back to the basics. A way to enter into the 21st century successfully.

Obama is young with new, radical ideas compared to our usual way of political thinking.
...and he listens to hip-hop, that's pretty hip and new.

I'm no democrat, but I sympathize for mercy to my liberalness. I hate most political parties.
Politics corrupt, regardless of your stance. If there's something to 'win' their will always be cheaters and people looking for methods to cheat.
Look at Watergate if you don't know what I'm talking about.

Whatever can get you an edge over your opponents, and politics are not saved from this universal rule.

Now I'm pulling for Obama because for the first time, a politician isn't sinking as low as most all do. He isn't airing hateful, misleading, attack ads about McCain, he is kinda being a pussy about it the whole presidential race.
But I like it, its respectful.
Hes winning people over with class and dignity, something you rarely see these days.

*sigh* Ive gotten off track again, but fuck it. It's my blog anyway, I can get off track and just ramble if I want right? Yeah I believe so, power to me.

I wish I could go on on this topic because like I said, it has a lot of potential.

So I'm gonna say this very bluntly and cut to the chase,

McCain is old like the way our system works currently.
Obama is young and refreshing like how people want to see our system work.

Will the economy catch a break? Who will be the next president? Will the bailout plan work? Will there be another Great Depression?

I'm Going On A Permanent Holiday!

I was talking to a friend and she gave me the idea to wright down a record of everywhere I have ever lived. Now I move a lot, so I needed a criteria of sorts to organize it, make it legit, and not count places Ive lived in only for a small time. I'm only adding places Ive lived at for at least two months time.
I'm also pulling up locations the best that I can going by my memory or if I was too young to remember, asking my mother for info to help me out since I was practically a fetus at some of these places.

I'm doing my best to put them into order from where I lived when I was born, to where I live now. But there might be minor errors in what order they are in.

Oh and one more thing, places I lived in will have a () next to it. And that's how many different homes Ive lived in there. So for example it says Benson, Vermont (2). that's because I lived in two different homes in the same town. The list goes from 1 being the place I was born, til 8 the place I live currently.

This is a blog...well more a list and explanation of things I can't stand. Its basically a big list of my personal pet peeves. But with some explanation of my whys. Yes 'my whys', its a new term I made up. Pretty sweet huh? Yeah I know! But its mine so don't steal it!

I'll start out with a notification, You (the Reader) have very likely done or do some of the things I will mention. I'm not pointing fingers, unless of course your a total douche and you know who you are.

anyway, I'll try to put them in a semi-order from 'most bothersome' to 'least bothersome' but no guarantees.

1.'Trendy people'

Trendy people are people who fit into one stereotype way too easily and a certain specific mold near perfectly.
Like for example, scene kids, emo kids, punk kids, gangsta kids.
You can wear a style you like but have some fuckin' limits please.
Your hair is dyed black and red and your wearing your sister's eyeliner, how original of you… (sarcasm). Just wear what you want to above all else in terms of clothes and fashion. Personally I wear whats comfortable or I like how it looks strictly to please myself. Sure I wouldn't go to a job interview with a mohawk but I like mohawks so I have them sometimes.

2.Piercings

Hold on a second, let me explain, or stop reading my blog. I don't care either way really.

I see tons of people with piercings and its starting to bother me. I don't like how they look, its that simple. I'm not gonna bitch about them to you or anything, but I personally think There stupid. The day I get a piercing is the day I get my scrotum pierced to one of my thighs. It would be freaky but Id be an innovator!
I especially can't stand septum piercings, ugh. I mean fucking everyone has 'snakebites' now, WTF! It really bothers me sometimes.

3.Overrated Bands

The Beatles were never that great.

4.People who bitch about market bands

By market bands I mean any band that was created or is funded only to produce money. Examples are Boy bands, Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, everything/anything the Disney corporation can market basically.
I'm perfectly fine if people want to listen to these bands, I don't fucking care. But don't bitch to me about them and expect me to join your hateful mob you rounded up to bitch about all the girls who like them.
Yes yes, you don't like the Jonas Brothers, I know, I get it,
now shut the fuck up.

Besides what the fuck is your problem with market bands? Some people truly like their music so why can't you just let them be happy, when you complain about a persons taste of music your oppressing all music and ultimately being a fucking dick. I mean you don't even have to listen to them, Maybe you should spend less of your time preaching about bands you despise and more time finding new bands and listening to music you genuinely enjoy.

There is much better anime out there. And even if there wasn't I still wouldn't watch Naruto.

Please wear something, as cool as it is that your nipples are staring me down, you really should cover them up a bit. I'm not saying no cleavage at all but just in moderation. Girls have boobs, I'm aware of this.

You can list every Ramones song, congrats… (rolls eyes). I love learning about and finding new bands but I don't preach about it to others. Music snobs try to impress people with there music knowledge and that bothers me.

25.People who say they love their boyfriend/girlfriend (whom they've only known for about a month or two) then break up with them.

ugh....Fuck I hate these people. If you really love someone you would try everything you could to fix your relationship before you end it. You wouldn't be so quick to leave if you really are in love. I believe you can't fall out of love, if you feel something strongly towards someone then that feeling disappears then that wasn't love to begin with. Love sticks with you and it never leaves.

Well it got a lot of attention, Some Good some Bad. But I noticed most bad was from hardcore anti-liberal Right Wing rednecks who have never lived outside of Vermont and have been born and raised in Rutland. I have nothing against Republicans or conservative or anyone who's a resident from Rutland (I'm prejudice about Rednecks though, Their stupid) but you have to take into consideration some of the points and views I brought up in that petition.

Yes Rutland has ALOT of problems, more than any other VT town that I know of. I started my petition as a joke because I hate Rutland. I lived there for around 10 years...it sucks. It's absolute hell there. Theres nothing for youth to do. I'm not exaggerating either. Ask some kids from there and you'll get similar responses about the place. But my petition also can serve as a notice that people have realized the place needs help on some issues. Now I use it (my Petition) for primarily that purpose.

I laugh a little to myself when I read some of things people say about my petition. I don't laugh at the people who wright about it, I just think its a little comical when a joke is taken serious. It was never meant to be taken seriously but if people want to argue about it and debate about Rutland City's issues I think that's great. My idea to 'Abandon Rutland' is completely Radical and unrealistic. It stimulated a few people and made them think about how to help and hopefully they will start to help there City.

I wasn't born here, I couldn't care less about this State. But hopefully when there older and can vote, they will vote for someone who will fix Rutland's big problems. Instead of a mayor that leaves everything as is. That's in my eyes its worst problem.

Tim Armstrong Isnt Who You Think He Is

I was talking to an online friend of mine and our conversation and exchange of ideas gave me the thought of a blog I should wright. Its about When Tim Armstrong said Good Charlotte was the next 'Super Band'. I'm not going to get into what he said or whether or not he ever actually said it. The bigger picture in this is about personal opinion and how it affects all our reputations. Peoples character are heavily based and judged on there views and opinions on anything and everything. From there choice on politics to there shoe brand. You can and most likely will be judged on anything. But I believe you cant judge too heavily on characteristics when it comes to music artists.

I love Tim Armstrong's music but I don't judge him as a person, but as a song writer/vocalist. I doubt you will ever find an artist or person you agree with on everything. You are only setting yourself up for disappointment when you love a band then expect that the band members will have all your same opinions. Just about everyone does it too. You have to remember that these are individuals with there own minds. They don't love all the bands you do and they don't support everything you do either. I couldn't care less about what Tim Armstrong says is 'punk' or what his views are. If you listen to a band/artist and you do have similar minds then its just a bonus in my eyes. Icing on the fucking cake.

If Tim Armstrong got caught wearing a preppy shirt I bet almost all punks who like him would freak the fuck out. I would strongly be against it but its a personal choice, just don't sing about being poor because then your a fucking liar. Tim has helped out more than enough struggling punks with Hellcat records to get my respect. I love the music I love, and its my choice and if you don't like it then too bad, don't listen to it.
